Detaille Art Studio
As a fourth-generation photographer, Francois Detaille has creativity in his DNA. Since moving to Australia in 2014, Francois has been captivated by the colours and forms of the Australian landscape — inspiration that shines through in his breathtaking aerial photography.
His latest series, Western Australia from Above: An Abstract Wonderland, documents a 7,000 km journey from the Wheatbelt, just outside of Perth, to Broome. Using satellite imagery to plan his route, Francois captured striking images that are vibrant, surreal, and beautifully composed.
He shared stories from his travels, including a 40 km round trip on foot through a closed national park to capture the perfect shot of red sand meeting turquoise waters — a testament to his dedication and artistry.
Francois’ Down to Earth series, created in Queensland’s Noosa region, offers a different but equally as beautiful locally inspired palette. His work is available as fine art prints (framed or unframed), printed canvases in floating frames, and metal dye-sublimation prints with a striking gloss finish.

Studio Surface
Grant from Studio Surface gave members a fascinating look into how far wallpaper design has evolved. Once renowned for its difficulty to remove, Studio Surface’s products now peel away effortlessly — leaving behind only a clean wall.
Beyond convenience, Studio Surface offers custom-printed wallpapers, allowing designers and homeowners to create their own designs rather than choosing from catalogues. Collaborations with artists have produced truly bespoke results, printed on premium European linen and canvas vinyl papers that are commercially rated and suitable for wet areas.
Grant noted that the luxurious matte finish reduces reflection and enhances the richness of pattern and texture.
Studio Surface provides a true end-to-end service, assisting with measurement, pattern development, and installation. Their range includes acoustic wallpapers for media rooms, metallic finishes, writable magnetic wallpapers, and custom glass films that can replace traditional frosting.
With wide-width rolls, invisible joins, and a quick turnaround, Studio Surface is redefining what’s possible in wall coverings.
