IDA members were provided with some helpful tips on marketing from Lucy Mortimer.
“It was such a pleasure getting to meet and share some marketing insight with you all on Wednesday. The energy in the room was great and it’s clear you’re all serious about building something amazing!
A couple of things I want to recap on, because they’re super important for your marketing:
– Your pricing isn’t the problem, your framing of it is. The clients who push back on your rates were never your right clients or they don’t understand the value you provide which means there is a disconnection with your messaging.
– Nothing changes with your sales pipeline until something changes with your marketing…
One thing I want you all to do this weekend: Rewrite your homepage headline. It should answer, in under 5 seconds, who you help and what they walk away with. Use this as a bit of a guide – I help [who] get [outcome] without [fear].
You want to keep it simple but clear! ”
