Design Professional membership
$250*
*Price per annum
Who is it for?
Design professionals who want to invest in their careers by joining a supportive and collaborative community dedicated to growth, learning and connection.
For applicants who have acquired interior decoration and/or design competencies through formal training or demonstrated professional industry experience.
This membership includes interior designers, interior decorators, interior stylists, colour consultants, lighting designers, landscape/garden designers and other related industry professionals.
Please note: At this time the IDA can only accept applications from design professionals based in Queensland as our operations are limited to this region.
Supporting information required
Applicants must be able to supply one of the following:
1. Certificate or transcript demonstrating a minimum AQF standard Certificate IV (or international equivalent) in interior design or decoration.
OR
2. Evidence of professional industry experience by providing a Design Portfolio, and Two (2) professional references from either of the following:-
- Client
- Trade Supplier
- Tradesperson

Design Student Membership
$75*

Who is it for?
Interior design students who are keen to get a head start in their career through real life experience and network building.
This membership is for those currently undertaking studies to achieve a Certificate IV or higher in interior decoration and/or design and are not currently working as a designer.
This membership option is only available whilst enrolled in your studies and for a maximum of two years. Once the member has graduated their membership will revert to that of a Design Proressional.
Supporting information required
Students are required to provide proof of their enrolment provided by their study institution each time they renew this membership.

Two representatives per business (extra at $50 per person).
